Creating a Claim Office Profile
Use this feature to create a claim office profile. Some fields in the profile may be disabled depending on the insurance company permissions granted to you.
The New Profile Wizard also includes options to copy profile data. When creating a new claim office profile, you have the following options:
- Existing claim office for ___ (the same insurance company) - This option copies profile data from another claim office profile of the same insurance company. This option appears only if you already have an existing insurance company claim office profile.
- Other existing claim office - This option provides the ability to copy profile data from any existing claim office profile.
- Repair facility profile for ___ - This option provides the ability to copy profile data from the specified repair facility profile.
- Create a blank profile - This option provides the ability to create a claim office profile without copying profile data from another source. You must enter rates and rules manually.
- Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar.
- Select New Profile from the Search Results toolbar. The Create Profile screen opens.
- Select the insurance carrier from the Insurance Company droplist.
- Enter the Office Code in the Office Code field. This must be a unique code. CCC Estimating does not allow duplicate office codes.
- Depending on the option you select, additional fields may appear. Make your selections for all appropriate fields on the screen.
- Click OK. The Profiles Settings screen opens.
- Move through the screens by selecting the links from the left panel, and then entering the appropriate information for each screen.
- Select Save or Save and Close from the toolbar.
Creating a New Profile Automatically
New insurance company and claim office profiles are created automatically as new assignments are received. When an assignment originating from a new insurance company or claim office is received, the program prompts you to create the profile when you accept the assignment. All users can remain in the program when this action is performed.
- Select View > Workfiles from the menu bar.
- Select the Views option, and then select New from the Workfiles panel.
- Select the assignment, and then select Action > Accept Assignment from the mini-toolbar. If the profile does not exist, a message pop-up appears.
- Click Yes to create the claim office profile using the CCC default values.
- Click Yes to open the newly created profile and edit the profile information. Selecting No opens the assignment instead.
Creating a Profile from an Open Shop Assignment
When you first open an Open Shop assignment, the program searches for an existing profile. If one does not exist, a pop-up message opens prompting you to create the profile now. Selecting Yes opens the Copy Profile screen opens. From there, you can create a blank profile, or copy data from an existing claim office profile to create the new profile.
- Double-click on the Open Shop assignment. The Unable to open assignment. The required claim office profile does not exist. Create the profile now? message box opens.
- Click Yes. The Create Profile screen opens.
- Click OK to create the profile without rates and rules. Skip to Step #5.

Select the Copy data from existing claim office profile option. - Select the claim office profile from the Copy From droplist.
- Click OK. The claim office profile is created and the assignment screen opens.
- Continue working in the assignment workfile, or merge the assignment with an existing workfile.
Importing a Claim Office Profile
The Import Profile feature provides the ability for you to import a claim office profile from disk. Claim office profiles can be copied from a portable drive or emailed to you. To access this feature, you must have the Profiles - edit claim office profiles permission enabled.
- Select Configure, and then select Profiles from the menu bar.
- Select Import Profiles from the toolbar. The Import Profiles screen opens.
- Click on the (...) button to the right of the Import From field. The Browse For Folder screen opens.
- Navigate to, and then click on the folder where the profiles are located, and then click OK. The profiles you saved appear in the Import Profiles screen.
- Select the profile(s), and then select Import. The Import Results screen opens. This screen displays profiles that were added, updated, or failed import.
- Select Finish.
Editing or Viewing a Profile
Administrative data are a part of a company’s profile, containing name, address, and telephone numbers. You will usually enter this information once, when you first create the profile. You can change the administrative data when you need to. Depending on the permissions assigned to your role, you may edit rates, rules, taxes, and other information in the profile.
Changes you make in a profile apply to newly created workfiles when you select the updated profile. Existing workfiles where the profile was previously selected are not changed.
- Select Configure , and then select Profiles from the menu bar.
- Click on the profile, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.
- Edit the appropriate information.
- Select Save or Save and Close from the toolbar.
