To stop receiving texts from CCC UpdatePlus, vehicle owners must respond to the Promise message with "STOP", if any response requesting the communications to cease other than the word STOP is sent, the texts will continue.
If the vehicle owner wishes to stop receiving Status updates, but still wishes to receive the CSI Survey, set the Comm Preference to Call - (XXX) XXX-XXXX.
- Do NOT remove the e-mail address or cell phone number from CCC Estimating in an attempt to opt-out vehicle owners; this has no effect for UpdatePlus, it will continue using the cached entry that was removed.
If the vehicle owner wishes to opt in or accidentally opted out, a different cell phone number must be used. Verify that the estimate workfile contains both a valid email address and different cell phone number than was used to reply "STOP" as well as has the Comm. Preference set to Text. Once the next repair milestone is entered, Promise Updates should resume.
NOTE: If there are 2 workfiles attempting to send a Promise for the same vehicle, UpdatePlus will automatically opt the related 2 workfiles out in order to prevent duplicate communications. These workfiles cannot be manually opted back in.
