When working on claims that have encountered some unexpected delays or otherwise remain open for a longer than normal period of time, you may be unable to locate these workfiles using normal searches.
Additionally, you may have noticed these workfiles that you had intentionally left open (as they are not completed) appear on a Closed workfile Report.
This is working as designed.
Review the notes below for assistance with searching.
CCC automatically runs server side maintenance periodically that will auto-close and archive workfiles which have not been changed in the past 6 months. You can locate these workfiles using the Archive search in your Workfiles list (as seen below):
Once you have located the desired workfile, you may reopen it using the Restore function on the mini-toolbar on the respective workfile in the search results list.
CCC Repair Workflow
Opportunities can be automatically closed based upon a configuration setting in your Repair Facility (RF) profile. To view or change this feature, select Configure -> Profiles and locate your RF Profile. Once you have opened your RF profile, scroll down and select the Workfile - Opportunities menu. The default setting is Yes, automatically close close open opportunities after 30 days. You may specify a different time frame for this functionality or disable this feature by selecting No, all opportunities will be closed manually.
You can locate these workfiles using either the Quick Search or Advanced Search functions by selecting the Auto Closed option in the Status droplist (as seen below):
Using any available search criterion, input the known information relating to the workfile in question. Keep in mind that when using the Advanced Search feature, you must be precise with the terms you have entered. If you have search terms in more than one of the fields, the search will only return results that match all entered terms combined, not just one of the selected available terms. (The search runs with an "and" operation for all entered criteria, not an "or" operation.)
Once you have located the desired workfile, you may reopen it using the Action -> Reopen function on the mini-toolbar on the respective workfile in the search results list or while in the file using the Reopen feature found in the WORKFILE menu.
