Shops using CCC Diagnostics Workflow can automatically share scan and calibration reports sent by an integrated service provider with an insurance company on electronically communicated files (assignments).
What reports will be sent to the insurer?
If selected, both scan reports and calibration reports ent to CCC by an integrated service provider (i.e., Airpro, AsTech, Elitek, Opus IVS) can be sent automatically to an insurance company upon estimate/supplement lock. Each insurance company must be individually configured to automatically share scan and calibration reports.
Where can I find scan/calibration reports?
When using an integrated service provider, scan and calibration reports are automatically attached to the CCC ONE workfile as a PDF document in the Attachments screen. Just like photo and other PDF attachments in the workfile, the scan report PDF can be shared with the insurance company by selecting "send to insurance" next to the attachment.
What information is included on the scan and calbiration reports?
The scan report and calibration reports vary by integrated service provider, but generally include vehicle information including the vehicle VIN, year, make, and model. Scan information may include the scan phase, type, provider, and scan device details. Scan start and end date are also typically recorded with a detailed breakdown of detected Diagnostic Trouble Codes. In addition to the above, calibration reports typically identify the vehicle system components that were calibrated and the outcome of the calibration(s) as well.
Is the scan report shared with the insurer automatically?
By default, scan reports are not automatically shared with insurance companies. However, through Insurance Compay settings you can enable automatic sharing of diagnostic reports. If you do not want to enable automatic sharing, you can manually share scan reports on a per workfile basis from the workfile Attachments screen.
What information is shared with the insurance company?
Only the scan and calibration reports received from the integrated service provider can be automatically shared with the insurance company. Vendor invoice information related to the scan is not shared unless it is included in the scan report PDF.
What information is shared with the insurance company?
No. Only scan and calibration reports received from an integrated service provider will be automatically shared with the insurer. However, manually attached PDFs can be shared with the insurer from the Attachments screen of the workfile by selecting "send to insurance" for the manually attached PDF.
