When you add an advance to an employee's paysheet, it will display on all pay periods moving forward until resolved.
An advance is designed as additional pay that must be reconciled later by removing the same amount from another pay period.
- An advance is not the same as a bonus.
- A bonus is designed as additional pay that does not need to be reconciled later.
Any amount added to the advance field will be added again in later pay periods, but with the opposite value.
- This will continue to occur until you close a pay period with the opposite advance still displaying.
- Manually removing the opposite advance will result in the opposite advance displaying in the following pay period.
