If you have received the message below when attempting to decode a VIN and recently updated or changed your CCC Estimating or CCC Workflow (Portal) password, you will need to update your CCC Touch application and/or smartphone application.
"Cannot decode because there is a problem authenticating the request"
If you use a PIN to log into the application:
- Close the application
- Click on the CCC Touch icon to access the Login screen
- Click on the Reset PIN option
- Enter your CCC Estimating/Portal username and your current password
- Create a PIN
- Once you have logged back in, you should now be able to decode any VIN as needed
If you use a thumbprint to set your PIN:
- Close the application
- Click on the CCC Touch icon to access the Login screen
- Click Cancel when prompted to use your thumbprint
- Click on the Reset PIN option
- Enter your CCC Estimating/Portal username and current password
- Create a PIN
- Use thumbprint when prompted
- Once you have logged back in, you should now be able to decode any VIN as needed
