The profile Labor feature allows you to enter labor rates for each labor and material charge category. This feature also allows you to apply tax for each charge category.
To set up labor and material rates

Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar.

Select the Profile and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.

Click on the Labor link.
-
From the Labor/Material Charge Category pane, enter the dollar value in the Rate $ field for one or more charge categories.

Select the tax type to apply to the charge category if applicable.

Select Save or Save and Close.

How to Setup Charge Category Discounts
The Discounts feature provides the ability for you to create, change, or delete pre-tax and charge category discounts in a profile.
To set up charge category discount in a profile

Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar.

Select the profile, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.

Click on the Rates link under Estimating.
-
Click on the Discounts link under Rates.
-
Enter the discount percentage value in the Rate % field for one or more Category types.
-
Select Save or Save and Close from the toolbar.
How to Setup Miscellaneous Charge Categories
The Miscellaneous feature allows you to create, change, or delete a miscellaneous charge category.
To set up miscellaneous charge categories

Select Configure > Profiles, and then select the profile for the company you want to work with.

Select Edit from the mini-toolbar.
-
Click on the Miscellaneous link.
-
From the Miscellaneous Charge Category pane, select the tax type to apply to the charge category if applicable.

Select Save or Save and Close.
How to Setup Parts Charge Categories
The Parts feature allows you to create, change, or delete a parts charge category, applicable taxes, and subtotal parts markup.
To set up part charge categories

Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar.
-
Select the profile you want to work with, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.
-
Click the Parts link.
-
If you are creating a new table, then select Motorcycle or Vehicle from the Table Type droplist.
-
From the Parts Charge Category pane, select one or more tax types to apply to each charge category.
-
Select Save or Save and Close.
How to Setup Taxes
The Taxes feature allows you to enter and apply taxes in a rate table.
To enter and apply tax rates
-
Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar.
-
Select the profile, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.
-
Click on the Taxes link under Estimating > Rates.
-
Review the Use Tiered Tax option - uncheck this box if your region does not use tiered tax.
-
From the Taxes pane, select the Apply Tax checkbox for each tax type to enable it.
-
Enter the tax rate percentage in the Rate % field.
-
Select Save or Save and Close.
Working with Estimate Rules in the Repair Facility Profile
Estimating rules determine the usage of part types, estimate printing format, refinishing, and total loss thresholds. Estimating Rules are set up in the Estimating section of the profile.
How to Setup Refinish Rules
The Refinish feature allows you to enter thresholds for maximum clear coat hours and paint materials. Paint material threshold options include one, two, and three-stage maximum dollar amounts.
To set up refinishing rule options

Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar.

Select the Profile and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.
-
Select the Refinish link.
-
Enter the appropriate information in the fields.
-
Click Save or Save and Close.
How to Add Total Loss Threshold Values
The Total Loss Threshold feature allows you to set up Total Loss Threshold information for various makes of vehicles
To add a Total Loss threshold value
-
Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar.
-
Select the profile, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.
-
Select the Total Loss Threshold link.
-
Click Add from the toolbar. The New Total Loss Threshold screen opens.
-
Select the Vehicle Make from the droplist, and then enter the remaining values in the appropriate fields.
-
Click OK when finished.
How to Setup Alternate Parts General Rules
The Alternate Parts feature allows you to set up the general defaults which include the part type selection precedence and the zip code range for Aftermarket, Recycled, Optional OEM, and Tire databases.
To set up alternate parts general rules

Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar.

Select the profile, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.
-
Select the Alternate Parts link under Estimating > Rules.
-
Select General (default) from the Part Type droplist.
-
Use the up or down arrows to change the part type order of precedence.
-
Enter the zip code range in the appropriate fields.
-
Select Save or Save and Close from the toolbar.
How to Setup Alternative Parts Usage
This feature allows you to set up the defaults for the program to use when processing Alternate parts (e.g., Aftermarket, Optional OEM, and Reconditioned).
To set up alternate parts usage

Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar.

Select the profile, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.
-
Select the Alternate Parts link.
-
Select ARO (Alternate, Reconditioned, and Optional OEM) from the Part Type droplist.
-
Move through the fields on the screen.
-
Click Save or Save and Close.
How to Setup Miscellaneous Rules
The Miscellaneous feature allows you to set up miscellaneous rules that include the following options. The following options can be enabled in this screen:

Applying taxes to reconditioned and re-cored parts
-
Allowing betterment on parts, labor hours, and refinish hours
-
Selecting to add Other Charge for Towing, Storage, and E.P.C. charges

Selecting to allow Body Supplies on specific operations
To set up miscellaneous rules

Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar.

Select the profile, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.

Select the Miscellaneous link.

Make your selections for the options on the screen.
-
Click Save or Save and Close.
How to Select Reports Format Options
The Reports feature allows you to select options for the default supplement report format, printing Recall information, printing Alternate parts usage, and printing zeros for numeric fields.
To select report format options

Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar.
-
Select the Profile, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.
-
Select the Reports link under Estimating > Rules.
-
Make your estimate report selections.
-
Click Save or Save and Close.
How to Setup Workfile Numbering
The Workfile - Numbering feature allows you to select the job numbering preference. For users who have CCC ONE Estimating, this option is referred to as automatic job numbering.
To select the Repair Order numbering preference

Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar.
-
Select your profile, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.

Click on the Workfile - Numbering link under Workfile Management.

Select one of the options.

Select Save or Save and Close to save your profile changes
