Before installing CCC Estimating, you should complete the following tasks:
- Download the CCC Setup file.
- Verify that you have a local account with administrator permissions. If you do not have this information, contact your Computer Systems Administrator. If your Windows local administrator account is not configured with a password, you can:
- Create a separate Windows local administrator account containing a password
- Add a password to your existing Windows local administrator account
- Make sure your primary computer is always turned on, connected to the Internet, and not set to go in to hibernation mode. CCC Update Manager requires this to keep your software up-to-date by automatically downloading data and program updates over the Internet.
Install (CCC Update Manager and CCC Estimating Program, Data and Graphics
To begin, launch the downloaded ccconesetup.exe file.
Follow the prompts and answer the questions throughout the installation program to install CCC Update Manager and CCC Estimating Program, Data, and Graphics.
- On the CCC Estimating Download and Install screen, enter your CCC Estimating license number, and the phone number registered to your account, then click Start.
- After verifying your computer meets the minimum requirements, the installer will download the files necessary for CCC Estimating.
- The Welcome to CCC Estimating screen will automatically display, when the download has finished. Click Next to begin the installation.
- The Product Information screen lists important reminders about installing CCC Estimating. Carefully read the information and click Next when you are ready to continue. NOTE: CCC Update Manager must be installed on only one computer at your location.
- On the Requirements and Agreement page, review the technical requirements at the top. If you need to prepare your computer before continuing with the installation, click the Cancel button, otherwise, review and accept the License agreement, then click Next to continue.
- The Data Location screen lets you choose a folder on your computer’s local hard drive where the CCC MOTOR database will be stored. Click Next.
- Next, select the time of day to check for updates and install them using the Daily Update Schedule screen. Select a time outside of your normal working hours for best results, and then click Next. NOTE: Your computer must be turned on, connected to the Internet, and set not to go into Hibernation mode for the Daily Update to work. You do not need to be logged out of CCC Estimating for CCC Update Manager to properly download and install updates
- CCC Update Manager defaults to using the Local System account, which is your current Windows account. Your local Windows account must have administrator access on the computer to complete installation. Click Next.
You may specify a dedicated Windows Administrator account:

- Remove the checkmark for Use Local System account.
- Enter the User Name and Password for the Windows Administrator account.

- Click the Install button on the Ready to Install screen to begin the installation.
- As the Setup Wizard installs the various components of CCC Estimating, the Installing Components screen displays the progress of the installation process. NOTE: Do not allow your computer to go into Hibernation mode as this will stop the installation process.
- The Installation Complete screen displays the installation locations, and when the Update Manager will check for updates.
Install CCC Estimating on other network computers (optional)
This step is only necessary if you are installing CCC Estimating on other computers on the same network.
Before proceeding with this step, you should complete the following steps:
- Share the CCC Apps folder created during the above installation steps. Your users must have read/write permissions.
- Verify the computer name that is sharing the CCC Apps folder.
- Gather the username and password for the Windows Administrator account for the computer sharing the CCC Apps folder. NOTE: if the Windows account does not have a password you may:

- Create a separate Windows administrator local account containing a password. Log into the account to initialize the Service Account.
- Add a password to your existing Windows administrator local account.

Follow the prompts throughout the installation program to install CCC Estimating on other network computers.
- Open Windows File Explorer to access the computers on your network.
- In the address bar, enter the name of the computer that is sharing the CCC Apps folder. NOTE: make sure to include \\ before the computer name, i.e. \\COMPUTER_NAME.
- If prompted, enter the Username and Password for the Windows Administrator account for the computer sharing the CCC Apps folder.
- Open the following folders from the network computer: CCC Apps, CCC, CCCSUM, CCCONE_PROGRAM, INSTALL. NOTE: The full path should look similar to \\COMPUTER_NAME\CCC Apps\CCC\CCCSUM\CCCONE_PROGRAM\INSTALL.
- Run the Setup.exe found in the program install folder.
- In the Setup Wizard, click Next to begin installing CCC Estimating.
- On the What's New screen, you may Print the instructions that display for learning about new features and enhancements. Click Next to continue.
- The CCC Estimating program will be installed to the Destination Folder. Click Next. NOTE: The CCC Estimating program must be installed on a local hard drive, not a network drive.
- On the Ready to Install screen, click Install.
- As the Setup Wizard installs the various components of CCC Estimating, the Installing Components screen displays the progress of the installation process. NOTE: Do not allow your computer to go into Hibernation mode as this will stop the installation process.
- A confirmation message displays, when the installation is completed. Click Finish.
- The Setup Wizard will automatically install the CCC Converter. NOTE: There is no progress bar on this screen; however, the installation is progressing in the background.
- A second confirmation message displays, when the installation is completed. Click Finish to exit the Setup Wizard.
