If you are unable to add or import images or attachments into CCC Estimating from your scanner and are seeing the following error(s):
Please attach your device and try again
No document scanners or cameras were found.
- Verify the scanner device works from other 3rd party programs.
- Check the scanner manufacturer's web site to verify if the scanner comes with a Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) driver, which is necessary for the device to work with CCC Estimating.
For devices that are WIA compliant but not scanning or scanning only 1 page, verify the WIA settings.
- Right-clicking on the device under Windows Devices and Printers, select Scan properties > Driver Settings
- Check the box to enable WIA 1.0 Emulation
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you may scan from your device and save the file as a PDF to a file folder on your computer, then import it into CCC Estimating using the Attachment option.
