If you are unable to locate recycled parts information in a parts search for a walk-in (non-DRP assignment) workfile, verify the following conditions:
- Confirm if this is a walk-in workfile or an Open Shop Assignment.
- Check if you are using electronic vendors (Shopping Cart feature of CCC Estimating)
- RPS data is only available on DRP assignments, when the insurance company participates in CCC's Recycle Parts Service.
- You can access recycled parts through an electronic vendor who supplies Recycled/LKQ parts.
- Use the Find a Supplier search on cccis.com (http://www.cccis.com/collision-repairers/find-a-supplier/) to verify there are available electronic vendors that delivery to your shop. Recycled/LKQ suppliers on that list can be added to your vendor list in CCC Estimating to access recycle parts on non-DRP assignment workfiles.
If there are no Electronic LKQ parts available in the compare screen, the recycled part can be added manually. To do so, follow the steps below:
- Select the part from the database, then the Compare button. NOTE: the Recy button only pulls in RPS data, which is not available on walk-in files or Open Shop Assignments.
- Click on the + Add Manually button in the upper right-hand corner of the Compare window.
- If necessary, respond to any labor prompts that appear for adding the part.
- Entre the part Price.
- Change the part type to recycled. The additional time button [...] can be used to manually add additional time for the recycled part.
- Select Add to Estimate, when finished.
