To stop receiving texts from CCC UpdatePlus, vehicle owners must respond to the Promise message with "STOP". If any response requesting the communications to cease other than the word STOP is sent, the status update messages will continue.
If the vehicle owner wishes to stop receiving Status updates, but still wishes to receive the CSI Survey, set the Communication Preference to Call - (XXX) XXX-XXXX.
- Do NOT remove the e-mail address or cell phone number from CCC Estimating in an attempt to opt-out vehicle owners. This has no effect for UpdatePlus; it will continue using the cached data that was removed.
If the vehicle owner wishes to opt-in or accidentally opted-out:
- Verify the workfile contains both a valid email address and cell phone number.
- A different cell phone number must be used for text messages.
- A different communication preference must be used, such as switching from Text to Email.
- After the next repair milestone is complete, Promise Updates will resume using the new communication method.
IMPORTANT: If two (2) workfiles have the exact same customer email, phone number and promise date, they will be marked as duplicate. UpdatePlus will automatically opt-out both workfiles in order to prevent duplicate communications. These workfiles cannot be opted-in again.
