Consumer Finance Settings
Once onboarding and activation with Sunbit is successful, additional settings will be displayed. The following permission is necessary to configure the settings in this section:
| Permission(s) | Settings - Edit repair facility profile |
Once a shop is activated and onboarded with Sunbit, Consumer Financing is automatically set to enabled and the following settings become available:
| Your Sunbit URL | This is a pre-qualification URL specific to your shop location that can be shared with your customers |
| Finance Threshold | This allows you to specify a dollar range for offering Consumer Financing options to your customers |
| Payment receipt settings | Available to shops with Repair Workflow. Provides the ability to specify the receipt types used when generating automated receipts upon receiving payment from Sunbit. |
Tip! Click the Copy button to the right of the Sunbit URL to paste your custom pre-qualification URL in communications with your customers.
Notes:
The default Finance Threshold is set to a minimum of $60 and a maximum of $10,000. You can adjust these values to your own thresholds. Sunbit does not support financing under $60 or above $10,000.
CCC Consumer Financing configuration is specific to the shop location. You may specify the same settings configured for other locations within your organization.
CONSUMER FINANCE FEATURES
Once activation with Sunbit is complete, Consumer Financing features are controlled by the toggle available in the Consumer Financing settings screen. When set to Enabled, all Consumer Financing features outlined below are also enabled.
Consumer Pre-qualification & Payment
With Consumer Financing enabled, you can provide your customers with the ability to view finance options and pre-qualify with Sunbit before the vehicle is repaired. When Consumer Financing is enabled at your shop location, your customers have access to pre-qualify for financing from:
- Customer messages
- Estimate QR code
- Consumer Web View
- Workfiles list
- Workfile detail
Customer Messages
Using the New Message action, you can send customers pre-qualification links directly via text or email before a workfile is created. You can find this action on the Workfile search screen or the Messages screen on cccone.com.

You'll find the code immediately following the totals section on the estimate. The customer simply uses the camera on their cell phone to scan the code and open the pre-qualification URL.
This QR code will appear on the following estimate print reports:
- Preliminary Estimate
- Current Estimate
- Estimate of Record
- Preliminary Supplement (with or without summary)
- Supplement of Record (with or without summary)

Workfiles
Using the Consumer Financing action, you can send customers pre-qualification and payment links from the workfile. This action is available on the workfiles list and within the workfile itself.
From the workfiles list:
- Go to the Workfiles view
- Search for and select a workfile

Regardless of where you choose to select the Consumer Financing action, a new browser tab or window opens to Sunbit. Click Next, then follow the prompts from Sunbit.
Consumer Web View
The Consumer Web View is a feature available to shops with CCC® UpdatePlus. When your shop is configured to offer consumer financing, customers will be able to pre-qualify and “Pay over time” via Sunbit on the Web View of the estimate. Customers access the web view from repair status messages they receive. The message includes a link where the customer can review repair status and an estimate summary online.
|
Your customers can apply for financing at any time during the repair process. While the repair is still in progress, the Consumer Web View includes a pre-qualification link below the estimate total. When pre-qualifying for financing from web view, customers will follow these steps:
|
|
Once the repair is complete, the customer can also checkout from the web view. When using the Pay over time options, customers will follow these steps:
Notes: Pre-qualification is not required to use the Pay over time option at checkout. If a customer has not pre-qualified, when checking out, they will go through the pre-qualification steps prior to finalizing the loan agreement with Sunbit. |
Payment Receipts
For shops with Repair Workflow, payment receipts are automatically created on the workfile when payment distribution is received from Sunbit. Two receipts are created for every payment received from Sunbit: one for the customer pay amount on the workfile, and one for the shop fee incurred for providing the financing option.
Receipts are saved to the workfile with the following details:
Repair Receipt:
| Receipt Type | Repair Receipt type specified in Consumer Financing settings |
| Received From | Customer |
| Amount | Payment amount from Sunbit on behalf of customer |
| Comments | Complete |
Finance Fee Receipt:
| Receipt Type | Finance Fee Receipt type specified in Consumer Financing settings |
| Received From | Customer |
| Amount | Shop fee for the financing transaction |
| Comments | Complete |
Payment receipts activity is easily tracked in the workfile Events screen under the Payments view. An event is recorded for each receipt created for a consumer financing transaction.
Receipt Type Configuration
By default, the Repair Receipt is created with an EFT receipt type. The Finance Fee Receipt is created with a Write Off receipt type. This may be changed in your Consumer Financing settings. You may specify any active receipt type for use in creating Consumer Financing payment receipts.
To edit receipt type configuration:
- Go to Settings on cccone.com, then select Payments
- Under Consumer Financing click Configure
- Select desired receipt types under the Sunbit payment receipts, then click Save
FAQs
Who gets access to Consumer Financing features?
Shops with baseline CCC® Estimating features. Excludes shops using CCC Comp-Est.
Does a customer need to pre-qualify to successfully checkout and pay for vehicle repairs?
No. Pre-qualification is not required to checkout and pay over time. If a customer is not pre-qualified, they will go through the pre-qualification process during checkout.
Who does the customer pay?
The customer pays Sunbit directly. The customer pay a down payment on the loan with a bank issued debit card, then continue to make payments to Sunbit per the finance agreement.
I have all my Sunbit settings configured , but my customers can't checkout with the pay over time option.
Make sure that the customer pay amount falls within the finance threshold defined in your Consumer Financing settings. If CCC® UpdatePlus is enabled and your customer is trying to checkout from Carwise, make sureUpdatePlus settings for Web View are enabled in cccone.com.
