Overview
The Supplemental Export feature allows a Tekion-connected repair facility to send updated repair order information to the Dealer Management System (DMS) after a repair order has already been closed and exported. This is especially important when a workfile is reopened to add a supplement—such as additional parts, labor, or changes discovered during the repair process.
What it Does
1) Exports changes after a reopened repair order is closed
When a repair order is reopened and then closed again, CCC ONE evaluates what has changed since the last successful export. If updates exist to the accounting details, the system prepares a supplemental export.
2) Uses a new DMS ID to track supplemental data
To maintain clarity in the DMS, supplemental data is exported under a new DMS Repair ID, with a reference back to the original repair order. This separates supplemental activity cleanly from the initial export.
3) Calculates accounting variances
CCC ONE compares the current workfile against the previously exported version to identify differences in accounting details.
4) Re-exports complete service detail
Even though only the accounting differences are needed, the system always sends full service detail again so that the new DMS Repair ID has a complete and accurate set of repair information.
5) Provides a clear record of DMS activity
Every supplemental export is logged in the DMS Activity window, including:
Exported service details
- Posted accounting transactions
- Memo details
- Success or failure indicators
This creates a transparent, auditable history of all DMS interactions.
6) Saves an updated export summary report
After each successful supplemental export, CCC ONE saves an updated Export Summary report in the workfile. This report captures the accounting variance that was sent to the DMS.
Getting Started
To enable this feature, turn on the “Allow exporting accounting variance” setting in the DMS Connection card on the CCCONE.com configuration screen.
